G Pos
Straight out of Brooklyn, raised in the hard core streets of Bushwick, is Hip Hop artist GPOS aka GullyPos. Growing up with his older siblings he was inspired and influenced by artists like Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, KRS-One, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, and Nas at an early age. He would join freestyle cyphers and rap battles on his block with his right hand man, "Coach of Cypher” who sadly passed away unexpectedly. Inspired by Coach, GPOS continued to follow his love for Hip Hop by writing rhymes. He began hosting live performances, poetry slams and has performed in many summer festivals throughout the NYC.
In 2007 an Organization named Boricuation Culture Foundation asked GPOS to perform at the USA Army Latin Dinner in New Jersey . After working the organization for only a short time he was named President and started a radio show called Boricuation Sundays at ESP51 Entertainment. The show was based on history of cultures and he co-hosted with another artist named Pearl Harba, a childhood friend.
GPOS was bitten by the radio bug and was inspired to start his own Hip Hop show called “Da G Spot” along with Pearl Harba on ESP51. He created a movement called Da GullyTeam and with the success of the show GPOS was hired as Program Director/Station Supervisor alongside Pearl Harba. Later they took their show to Beatminerz Radio and added DJ Redboy.
GPOS continues to work on his music, writing lyrics and performing. He has released singles with Pearl Harba and Sadat X. GPOS is a success in the works from old school to new school flava he continues to keep it Gully!
